                        Peaceful and secluded

                        5 of 5
We take a guys only race trip each year to a different NASCAR track. This year it happened to be Darlington, SC. We wanted to rent a house instead of a hotel room and the closest properties were on Lake Wateree. We were first attracted to the property based on the rate. It was priced reasonable especially for being on Labor Day. The cabin sits right on the water and it was peaceful to wake up and walk down to the water. The area is pretty rural and the nearest city is Camden which is about 15 miles away. So it is a good idea to pick up everything you need while you are in town or before you arrive. Although Darlington was an hour away from the cabin, we were also an hour away from Columbia, in the other direction. It was nice to take one day and go to Columbia and hang out. There is one restaurant/bar, less than a mile away, Creekside Bar and Grill. It has a great food, but the service is hit or miss. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this place is for you. The cabin is old but very well maintained. It has a large size screened in patio where we spent most of our time. They have a large table and about eight rocking chairs. At night, it was nice to sit outside and just relax. I need to comment on the owners who are very polite and helpful. They communicate not only by email but by phone. If I had a question, I could call her and she answered every time. I am not sure if I will ever be coming back to this area any time soon, but if I do, I would definitely stay here again.

                        Dome sweet dome!

                        5 of 5
We have stayed at the Dome for a few years now and each visit gets better than the last. We were delighted to find a beautiful washer and dryer inside the home, plus fast internet, a Roku television player and an upgraded comfy couch. As always, we highly recommend the Dome for an inexpensive stay in the Greenville area. We love Travelers Rest and enjoy the proximity to all that the town has to offer, especially the Swamp Rabbit Trail. We will be back soon for another stay in our favorite dome home!

Very private and comfortable. A little more rustic than expected, but enjoyable.

Well-equipped, except there was only one coffee cup. Bring your own hair dryer. Internet was very minimal. The fire pit was a big hit, but the pond was disappointing. Plenty of cleaning supplies and TP, nice linens and towels. Washer was a bit noisy, but great to have. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
