Lovely flat in central Cape Town

          5 of 5
Spent a girls weekend in Cape Town at this lovely 2 story flat. It's located on the 11th floor, a corner unit, so it was very private and quiet (you do hear the street traffic, but it's not bothersome). Building is very secure and felt quite safe during our stay. The flat was very clean, and kitchen well stocked so that you can prepare meals if you like. The only thing it did not have was a coffee plunger, but there is a coffee maker. However, if you need anything from the shop, it's located just around the corner (PnP) - where you can also get ice if you care to make cocktails :) The balcony on the 1st floor is good size, and when it's not windy it is lovely to sit out there. You can see most of Table Mountain from there, as well as Lion's head and Signal Hill (between the other high-rise buildings). Beds are very comfy, plenty of towels and blankets. Air con in the bedrooms - the bedroom with the shower tends to get quite warm late afternoons on sunny days, as the flat is directly under the roof - but the air con worked well enough to combat that. I image in the summer that it would be very hot up there however (we stayed in late March and had 2 warm days around 28). But, being American from Texas, I am accustomed to having centralized air con in homes and hotels - therefore a local would probably not be bothered by the heat as much :) Close to Long Street and Bree Street, which is nice if you fancy a stroll. Driving, we were able to get to Lion's Head in 15 minutes (minus the traffic), Sea Point in 10, and Camp's Bay in 20 minutes. We used Uber - as we did not want to have to deal with parking when going out (which was so easy and they are super quick here in CT) The rates were very reasonable (r60 one way to Sea Point). Just tell them to come to the Sun Hotel for pick-up (which is across the street) since St. George's Mall is a pedestrian zone and hard for the drivers to find. Really enjoyed our stay! Would definitely stay here again.

          Amazing view and wonderful apartment

Beter then any hotel in Cape Town. Very clean and high quality, from the separate airco to the Beds, the TV, the fridge etc. Amazing view on Table Mountain. Owner Steve is very friendly and allways responding to any question. My wife and I felt very secured (24/7 security). All exitement in Cape Town on walking distance. If we return for a holiday we will book here again!

          What a delight!

We can't say enough about this sophisticated apartment. The location was ideal, within walking distances to a wide variety of coffee shops, markets, restaurants, and bars. We started every morning with a run along the base of Table Mountain--it was so close! Equally accessible were the waterfront, Green Market and Lion's Head. The location was simply ideal. The owners, however, were fantastic. They met us on arrival, personally oriented us to the apartment and clued us in on several 'can't miss' restaurants near by. The security was top notch (although we never felt at risk). Any questions that arose were quickly addressed by the owners. They were even kind enough to mail several articles we had carelessly left back to us in the states! The "WOW!' factor that you feel every time you walk into the loft can't be beat. This was a wonderful place to stay, and truly enhanced our enjoyment of this wonderful, vibrant city.
