        A Wickford Landmark

A quaint and cozy apartment in a historic house. Ideally located a short walk to the village center. My hostess was friendly and attended to all details. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen had state of the art appliances. Can't wait for my next stay!

Comfy, cozy and charming period home.

We had a memorable stay in this beautifully presented antique home. Everything we needed and everything in its place -- even milk, juice and coffee provided for our first morning! The nicely furnished upstairs bedroom is reached by a twisting old staircase and is open and airy. Memory foam on the bed made for an excellent night's sleep. Ensuite bathroom is supplied with very nice soaps, lotions and shampoos and thick towels. Downstairs living area is comfortable with overstuffed couch and chairs, table/chairs and lots of windows looking out at the lovely water view. Kitchen is small but fully equipped and a pleasure to use. The outdoor area was a highlight -- plenty of comfortable seating and lots of green lawn alongside a tidal pond full of fish and fishing birds, very exciting to watch. To top it all off, the main village area of Wickford is just one block away. So much fun to be able to just walk to everything -- town dock, restaurants, shops, kayaking, and the quaint antique houses in the historic district. We will definitely book again.

        Memories are made here!

My husband & I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here at the Sunflower House. This place has a special meaning for us & that's why we were delighted to return here to have a nostalgic vacation. You see, 50 years ago my hubby was in the Navy & stationed at the nearby Seabee base. He rented an apartment upstairs in this very house. This is where we began our life together as young newlyweds. Life had taken us back to Oregon after the Navy. When my husband asked what I wanted to do for our 50th anniversary I said I want to return to Wickford. We'd traveled to the area in 2011& found that it might be possible to rent the downstairs apartment. Wow! What a grand idea! We were pleased with all the upgrades & the super friendly & helpful owner. We enjoyed reading the history of the house & once again exploring the area. 38 Brown Street is indeed very special to us & will be forever. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
