              Fantastic, spacious

              5 of 5
I had a group of 13 people, mostly from the Rocky Mountains in Utah. We pulled up and the first thing people said was "this big one is where we are staying?!" Casa Glad had all we needed, and everyone had a bed, so it's good for big groups/families. You are only a few steps from the beach, which is a great spot to hang out and relax. The sand is good, and there is constantly waves rolling in with a nice breeze. As far swimming goes, I would recommend caution. We found out when high tide was and were able to swim ok, but there are some rocks that can be dangerous if you're not careful. They are a little ways out though, so getting in up to your thighs to just relax and enjoy is great. We weren't used to the hot humidity in PR, so it was a little warm. Opening the big doors helped because there was a nice breeze. At night you can turn on small air conditioning units in the bedrooms that are amazing to sleep with. I had no problems at all with booking or paying, and everything was great when we showed up. The house is kind of in a commercial area, which was good because there are plenty of stores near by. Some great food stands literally right up the street to get "pinchos" (kebabs) or sandwiches, and a nice little cafe called "Delicias" at the top of the street with espresso and great breakfast. Although it is a somewhat commercial area, once you get to the end of the little road where the house is, you're in your own little paradise. The waves, the palm trees (with iguanas and tiny little lizards here and there) the breeze...just so great! This is a great place if you don't want to be in the middle of San Juan and all the touristy stuff. There are some great things nearby too! Cueva del Indio was really cool, good surfing in Isabella...if you can, take a beautiful drive to San Sebastián and go to Gozalandia Falls, you won't regret it. All in all, Casa Glad was exactly what my group wanted. I would absolutely recommend this place, especially if you want to get out of San Juan and see a little more of what Puerto Rico has to offer!

              Excellent house on the beach

El Escape is a lovely 3 bedroom home on the north shore of Puerto Rico. Even though the house is only a short drive from the highway, it is private and quiet. The views from the balconies are wonderful. The house has an excellent kitchen, large bedrooms and numerous balconies for relaxing and watching the surf. The ground level with pool, table and chairs and access to the recreation room is excellent. This house was one of the best values that we have experienced in over 10 years of renting via the Internet.

              Great comfortable stay

              4 of 5
House accomodated 6 adults comfortably we had a family emergency and being from New England with all the snow having the view and walk across to the beach was pretty tranquil. The only drawback is lack of internet service (I work from home on computer) but I did find some hotspots, (sprint) along the outside wall of the foyer area near the gate has great signal even across at the beach but nothing really in the house except for the kitchen table at times LOL this may be very important to others :) other than that everything was very accomodating. There is alot of people that park across the street at night and watch the beach or whatever never had an issue but we did keep the gates locked after dark. If your looking to go to PR and you want the island feel then I recommend this place and Kevin was great too meeting us at 230 am to let us in. Thanks Kelley again we enjoyed the stay!
