Wonderful little Cottage in the Peace and Quiet of PEI

                            4 of 5
It may seem like you are driving into the middle of no where to get there, but once you turn down that dirt road and arrive at the little Chalet you will find that it is the perfect blend between the peace and quiet of the great outdoors and the modern amenities of any well furnished cottage. The location was close enough to local businesses and stores that getting anything you need was quiet easy. My dog loved the open space near the lake to sit out and watch the day go by, as well as the occasional fox who wondered a little too close an aroused his chasing spirit. The cottage itself was incredibly comfortable to stay in with every amenity you could really ask for. Aside from the annoying mosquitos that seemed to be prevalent at that time of year, it was a perfect stay.

Beautiful chalet in a beautiful location

                            5 of 5
This gorgeous chalet was absolutely perfect for my family of 5 (2 adults + a 7, 5, and 18 month old). The chalet is right on the river which was perfect for our 5 & 7 year old to go down to all on their own to find shells and watch the birds & boats. We were 5 minutes from the town of Alberton which had everything we needed (grocery store, liquor store, gas station) including a delicious bakery and cafe. Inside the chalet itself was every appliance and gadget we could ever hope for and lovely, comfortable furniture. We were about 15 minutes from the Mill River Fun park which was awesome for my kids age group. This might even be closer once the bridge beside the cottage is up and running again. We had to go a round about way I think. We went for a few hour drive and visited West Point lighthouse and beach, Campbellton Cove beach and Skinners Pond, all on a hunt for sea glass, which we found. All of the neighbours were very friendly. We had an all around, fabulous family vacation at the Mill River Chalet. One thing I would mention is that if you're bringing a small child that you would be concerned about on stairs just bring a pressure mounted baby gate. It will fit between the banister and the wall. The stairs are fairly steep and very enticing to a toddling adventurer.

Charming cottage in an excellent location

                            5 of 5
We had a wonderful time at Ellen's cottage. Our family enjoyed eating breakfast on the front deck and having dinner in the lovely back room that is screened in. The cottage is located down a quiet, secluded lane, but it is only a 10 minute walk through the forest to the lovely Stanhope/Ross Beach. The bike trails were a pleasant surprise - we rented bikes at Dalvay and were able to bike to the golf course (driving range), to Brackley Beach and to Richard's for a delicious dinner out. All in all, a great spot!
