It was a rare case when the reality exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the house for the period from mid of December 2016 till mid of January 2017 with three kids. The house has everything you need for the family vacation. The land plot is fantastic. With a beautiful garden and a large territory kids can play outside the house and you don’t need to be worry for their safeness.
I have to admit that Sintra is a tricky place. It has a variety of microclimates areas. You need to be careful with choosing where to stay to avoid unpleasant weather. We were lucky and almost all days we stayed where sunny with clear view of the Atlantic Ocean and Pena Palace.
Another benefit of this house is its unique location. You are very close to the landmarks of the Portugal Riviera, naming Cabo de Roca (the westernmost extent of mainland Eurasian continent), Azenhas do Mar (a small fisherman village with meditational views; it has one of the best fish restaurants in this part of the cost), Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaliera, Palace of Mafra and many many other places to visit…
Rita, the owner of the house, is charming and wonderful lady.
