I wanted a place close by to Ericeira yet not "Downtown" since I had a rental car, and this unit was perfect with just a 7 minute drive to Centro and all the services one wants and needs. I booked at the end of high season so this review does not reflect what must be in place when the whole area is jumping. We did stay through a Sunday midday and that was the day that showed how busy the place might be with the adjacent beach and its large parking lot filling up as we were leaving. What had been a wonderfully peaceful and quiet stay with tranquil coffee on the wide and long veranda was shattered by dirt bikes chasing up and down the winding road from the highway to the beach, as well as off-roading in the brushy areas across the small waterway - it was quite a change from the total peaceful stay we had otherwise had.
Sabine's rental - the East half of the middle floor of a 3 story condo - is comfortable and completely equipped with everything needed and wanted - great bed, kitchen, WiFi, security, proximity to beach, and a stunning peaceful location alongside an undeveloped greenbelt along a lagoon leading to the beach.
The patio area is great for outdoor living as seen in the photos and one is led to view the ocean and beach easily while sipping morning coffee and planning the day.
There were just the 2 of us and Sabine's unit with 3 bedrooms could easily hold 4 adults and 2 kids so we had a lot of room to share - as a couple it was easy to have a girls bathroom and a boys bathroom.and just unpack and spread out.
The location in Sao Lourenco is great - again it was not busy so whatever might be happening in busy season was not evident and the village seemed almost empty. A short walk through the village is Delphino Azul, a great restaurant with one of the world's best locations to dine al fresco overlooking the Atlantic - their pulpo salad the best ever and all the dishes had wonderful rustic authenticity of Portugal cuisine - it also has a series of steps leading to the beach.
There is street parking with a short walk through a mostly locked gate to Sabine's unit, and since hers is the middle floor there is only a 3 step stair to access her front door.
We had a little trouble finding the pool access but once we did it was a good place to dip - not really meant for swimming but splashing around in fresh water feels great anyway.
The best way to review anyplace is from the filter of would I ever want to return, and my answer is yes.
