We recently spent 4 nights in this spectacular apartment/resort on the final leg of our trip to Spain/Portugal. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodations and the location/resort overall.
I booked months in advance and traded emails with the owner who was incredibly attentive and thorough, answering all my questions promptly and sending me a huge email with recommendations for local activities especially since we were traveling with two young boys (ages 1 and 3). She also offered to "baby-proof" the apartment which we didn't think would be necessary but very thoughtful offer! A few days before we left for the trip the owner and I spoke over the phone to go over the check-in process at the resort and we had no issues getting into the apartment, check-in was a breeze, the resort staff was very helpful.
The apartment is located within the Vilalara resort which is stunning, the gardens/pools/beach area is truly 5*****. The apartment is located on quiet part of the resort grounds with a private pool and has gorgeous views of the ocean and beach directly below. The two bedrooms are on the ground level with walkout sliding doors to a beautifully manicured lawn. Above the bedrooms there is a large living room, dining room and kitchen, but the best part is the wrap-around shaded porch overlooking the sea with plenty of seating, a hammock, and dining area. There was so much space for our family, you could easily travel with two families with children and not feel the least bit crowded. All of the decorations in the apartment were very tastefully done and the bedrooms and bathrooms felt brand new and clean, we were very pleased with every aspect of the apartment. We had just spent 3 nights at the Alphonso XIII hotel in Sevilla Spain which may have been my favorite hotel stay ever, so I wasn't sure how this hotel/apartment could compare but amazingly it did not disappoint one bit, and we are already trying to figure out when we could come back for another spectacular stay!
I should mention the food at the hotel was delicious, normally we like to explore and try something new every night, but we actually ate at the hotel all 4 nights. The menu was large enough that we never got bored with it. The resort staff was great with the kids too. Oh, and the breakfast buffet is not to be missed as well! The hotel also organized a small boat to take us on a tour of the sea caves along the nearby coast, I highly recommend it!
