                Could not have been happier

                5 of 5
We were searching for a relaxing country getaway in a quiet setting where our dogs would also be welcomed. Our search is over!! We had never rented a house for vacation before, but what a great choice we made. We are spoiled now because I doubt that anyplace could compare to Twin Ponds. It was everything we'd hoped for and much more! The house is so warm and inviting that we felt at home the moment we arrived. The house is very clean, the decor is entertaining, and every need has been considered. The owners out due themselves with all the amenities they provide. The property was incredible, we enjoyed coffee every morning on the front porch while watching the hummingbirds, ate lunch on the deck overlooking the trees and spacious field, watched birds, butterflies, chipmunks, frogs, and even deer in the field one morning. We took long walks and explored the ponds and fields several times everyday, the dogs had a terrific time and loved every minute of it. It was so quiet and peaceful that we felt we were isolated from the world. Karen was a pleasure to deal with and made the whole reservation process a breeze. We didn't need a thing, but knew she was just a phone call away if we did. On our final day she stopped by on her way to the lake and we got to spend some time playing with a truck full of beautiful, playful puppies- what a completely unexpected surprise bonus that was to our visit! I could go on forever about how wonderful a vacation we had at Twin Ponds. Without hesitation I would recommend it to anybody. We are already planning a return visit for the Fall. Thank you Karen and Mike for sharing your wonderful property, see you again soon!

Quiet, Clean Farmhouse in Great Area

                5 of 5
We had a terrific stay here. It's a quiet, well-kept old farmhouse set in a beautiful little valley. Plenty of space, comfortable beds, lots of amenities. Lots to do in area in all seasons (Endless Mountains have same foliage as New England). Caretaker is close by and stopped by on first day just to say hi. Highly recommended.

a beautiful home in a serene, peaceful rural area

                4 of 5
Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights over New Year's Eve/Day with two other families (10 people total including 4 kids ages 3 - 7). The photos on VRBO had certainly made the house and property look very inviting and lovely however were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find the house even more well-kept/remodeled/maintained than we had expected. Such a beautiful old farmhouse!! ... with modern kitchen and bathrooms....and we were so impressed with the efforts to retain the "old farmhouse" features. Beautifully furnished with antiques! The kitchen was well-stocked.....the heating system worked very well, it was toasty warm in just a few minutes after arriving. There are two living areas which worked well for our group .... plenty of space for the kids to play and be noisy ....and a separate area for the adults to hang out. And with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths, there was plenty of space for us all to have our privacy. We will definitely return another time....hopefully it will snow next time! Elk Mountain was closed...no snow!! Oh, and Liz was extremely helpful to us during our stay!! Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
