                          Recent Locust Lake Reviews

Great break from the hustle and bustle of life!

                          5 of 5
Our stay here was great! Beginning with helpful communication from our host Teresa prior to our arrival, our experience was hassle free and everything was as advertised. My wife and I came up from the Baltimore area, and our daughter and her boyfriend traveled west from Brooklyn to meet us. We began to relax the moment we passed through the gate into Eagle Rock. A beautiful community set in quiet woods. We didn't do much except visit, eat and drink! A perfect weekend for us. The house was beautiful and well appointed. Great notes telling us about appliances and amenities. This house is perfect for someone who wants to relax and stay put. The back deck overlooking expansive woods full of docile deer, the fire pit and spaciousness of the home makes it easy to hang out and decompress. Expect to drive 30-60 minutes to get to to "Poconos". The surrounding area wants for much fine dining, but we had a great time at the Bottleneck Pub eating great bar fare and playing shuffle board! We will be back when we need to shake off city life again! Thanks for opening up your gorgeous home to visitors.

CLEAN, UPGRADED, COZY HOUSE DIRECTLY ON THE LAKE, WITH LOTS OF AMENITIES

                          5 of 5
Large, clean, newly upgraded house directly on the lake in the Poconos, with reliable air conditioning, hot tub, kayak, canoe, pedal boat, fire pit, beautiful views and lots more. This house is very family friendly - lots of toys/games provided. The owner really cares about this house and pays attention to the little details. The location directly on the lake is great for fishing, or taking one of the boats out. The owner even provides a plethora of life vests, and blow-up tubes to float on (plus an electric pump to blow air into the tubes). Private dock and swing set located on property. The hot tub is large. The fire pit was a big hit with our group (be sure to bring or buy your own firewood). The house is well lit outside at night – there are flood lights all around the house (front, back and sides), and there is lighting along the path to the lake. The grill outside requires propane tanks. When we arrived, all propane tanks were nearly empty, so we refilled them. The house was very clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently renovated, the furniture is very comfortable, and the décor throughout is inviting. Beach chairs are provided and are comfortable. There is a bench swing by the lake, which is peaceful. Wifi was included - reliable and fast. There is a wine fridge, and 2nd fridge which were both very reliable and roomy. I would recommend the linen package. The sheets provided were clean and crisp, and the towels were nice. The only thing you will need to bring is outdoor/beach towels. A full size washer and dryer are included in the house. Locust Lake community offers several beaches and parks, and different community events (check calendar). The closest beach is within walking (3 minute walk). The trash/recycling center is less than 5 minute drive from the house. What’s nearby: Ahart’s grocery market, Wawa and Dunkin’ Donuts (15 minutes away), and Walmart, Giant, and McDonald’s are about 25 minutes away. There are 2 casinos nearby (Mount Airy and Mohegan Sun). Both are about 20 minutes away. The owner, Allison, is very responsive and will answer any questions you have. She makes herself available to you with the touch of a text message. This is a great house to enjoy time with your friends/family and outdoors. It’s the perfect lake house, especially for a large group. We are already making plans to rent next year. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Awesome House. Beautiful Lake. Great Owner.

                          5 of 5
Debbie (the owner) was extremely nice and very accommodating. The house itself was very nice, clean, and even better then the pictures. The kitchen is a little small, but there is still enough space to do meal prep and a massive table for everyone to eat together. The wrap around deck is an added bonus when the weather is nice. When the weather isn't so nice, the basement is a perfect hangout with pingpong table and a huge tv for playing games or watching movies. The best part of the entire house is the lake. Its not a very big lake, which means its very quiet, peaceful and calming. The 3 kayaks and rowboat made paddling around the lake very enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. I fully expect to be back there myself next year or sooner. Thanks for everything Debbie! - Matt
