The house was the perfect size for our family of four (me, hubby, 11-yr-old son, and 8-yr-old daughter), and we felt very at-home. It has a good size kitchen with lots of appliances/utensils/condiments, bedrooms with plenty of pillows/comforters, TVs, etc, and it was very clean. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and close to many activities including Camelback (~20 minutes away), Hickory Run State Park (~30 minutes), Bushkill (~40 minutes), Jim Thorpe (whitewater rafting - 40 min), Kalahari (10 min), and many hiking trails.
The owner Eileen was very responsive and attentive, from the moment we sent the first inquiry. She made sure we knew everything about the rental. She also didn't make a big deal about the small pen mark the kids made on the sofa.
There were just a couple of things that could be better: 1) the wifi was sporadic - sometimes it would stop working for hours at a time and 2) the Pinecrest weekly membership fee was $200, and we probably didn't get our moneys' worth (we're not golfers or tennis players). The pool was lovely, but the weather was cool so we only used it a few times. The $200 fee also doesn't allow guest access to the fitness center, so I had to pay an additional $60 to use the Pocono Mountain Fitness Center for the week.
Overall I enjoyed our stay at this townhouse and would stay again (but would not get the Pinecrest membership).
