Property decor blends vintage furniture, art glass, custom lighting fixtures that incorporate rock crystals, old local barn-wood and reused antique local doors. There's a lot going on, but it all works together and provides a quirky and convenient base from which to explore the town. We had some heating issues due to the weather this time of year in PA, but Jeff and Chad worked quickly to resolve it. Chad was a wealth of information regarding local cuisine, which was helpful because I had some dietary restrictions.
We had a fantastic experience in town, and enjoyed meeting the local characters that played a part in making these establishments run.
We felt very at-home and enjoyed the conversations with Chad, who loves to talk about the details of the property.
The property is located on a quiet corner right off one of the main streets in town, and within easy walking distance of all the main points of interest in town. Jim Thorpe is built entirely on a hill, so walking is either uphill or down, and sometimes seems like both, so keep that in mind when planning your trip.
I would highly recommend staying with Jeff and Chad, and this is a one-of-a-kind property.
