        Great Place For Large Group

        4 of 5
Great place for a large group! We had about 30 people, including lots of kids, and never felt crowded. The pool and gazebo area were terrific. Lots of comfortable seating both in the sun and shade. We didn't heat the pool and it was perfect for the hot July sun. It probably would have been chilly though if the weather hadn't been so warm. Bring your own pool toys. Diving board was a big hit! You can access the pool area from several doors. The second floor( near main kitchen) deck got very hot in the daytime. Wear shoes or lay something down. The grills on the deck we used several times, and ate most meals outdoors. Plenty of space! The house sits on the end of a dead-end road, so its very quiet and private. The yard is very roomy and plenty of space to play ball or whatever. Driveway is paved so kids could roller blade, although the road is a pretty steep incline/decline once you get off the circle driveway. Hot tub is located indoors, in the basement near the walkout to the pool area. It is kept at a preset temperature, a little cool for some of our adults in the group, but good for most. Kitchen well stocked with appliances, utensils and pans, although no washcloths and only one hand towel. Lots of bath towels are available. Be sure to bring paper towels or napkins. We brought our own trash bags and hand soap, although there were small trash bags and soap in each bathroom. There is a dumpster out front - plenty of room to get rid of your trash. Excellent fridge/freezer room with the extra cooler and deep freezer was a huge bonus for large group with lots of food and drinks to keep cold. Laundry is in the basement area. Wifi worked great in most areas of the house and pool/gazebo. Main areas were modernly decorated and new, bedrooms and bathrooms seemed a little dated but still neat and clean. Owners very responsive to needs, should they arise. We visited several waterfalls within an hours drive. Greshams Chop House was an excellent choice for dinner, along with The Heron (best bloody mary) and Alpine Wurst & Meat House if you're craving some german cuisine. Convenience store or Dollar Store in Beach Lake have most essentials should you need, and Walmart is only 15 minutes away. We hired a photographer to come shoot a large family photo at the Mansion - she did a terrific job, pictures shipped to us after reviewing what we wanted online -Gina Lenz Photography. Hilltop checkin/out went smoothly and we got deposit refund in about two weeks.

Best stay ever. George was such a pleasure to work with. He went out of his way to accommodate us. The grounds and premises were perfect for our very large group. Adults and children enjoyed all amenities. We are looking forward to going back!
