We were so happy with all aspects of our stay. The property manager or owner responded quickly to our original inquiry and our other communications since and provided the information needed to make our preparation and arrival smooth. The location is near enough to downtown Bend (including the shuttle to Mt. Bachelor, ~ 8 min drive away) to make everything convenient but far enough to be peaceful and quiet with good access to the forest, sno-parks... The unit was clean and big enough to easily house my husband, son (on pull-out couch), and me. Although the person staying above arrived late at night our second night and I could hear him/them moving in and walking about that night and one other, I actually slept better even on those nights than in any other rental I've stayed in. We cooked all our meals and found the tools we needed to do that (though I was glad I brought my own bread knife, the only item I brought). The gas fireplace (not the only source of heat) made the unit so cozy. It as well as everything else was easy to use and set up for convenience and relaxation. The pool was warm enough to swim in during March (and likely the rest of the winter) and, right across the parking lot from the unit, close enough to not get too cold on the way back. The two hot tubs were great post skiing. The drawbacks were minimal: in addition to hearing the walking in the upstairs unit as noted earlier (and that's the only noise we heard from anyone else while we were inside), there were only two seats inside for meals (there's a balcony, with an outdoor heater, but we didn't use that) and the lighting wasn't great for reading. These were minor issues for us. The unit worked great for us and we look forward to staying there again.
