Terrific Place to Storm Watch

5 of 5
My friends and I arrived at Pilot House in the middle of a major wind and rain storm. We had a small gathering of puffins just below the pier which was fun as none of us had ever seen puffins in the wild despite them being indigenous to the Oregon coast. We think the wind may have caused them to move inland from the coast. The sea lions were constantly swimming around the pier also. So despite the wind, we had a great view of the wildlife action from the big windows of the Pilot House. The next day the wind had died down and the cargo ships were moving over the Columbia bar and we were enjoying watching all the river traffic. Everyone stayed in the condo most of the weekend and took advantage of the amazing view from the windows. The Pilot House was perfect for a group of six friends meeting to reconnect. There is so much space in this condo that sometimes we had to go looking for someone who had slipped away to a quiet place. Having three bathrooms is a real blessing with six women wanting to shower every day. We could be ready to go in a very short amount of time. But this visit we weren't wanting to leave the condo because we were enjoying watching the storm and all the action on the river. This was our second stay at the Pilot House and we will be back. We love it here!

Vista del mare or a big piece of paradise!

5 of 5
This was my second stay at Vista Del Mar. But this time I brought up a very good couple of friends of mine who had been married for 14 years and have never had a honeymoon. We had such a fabulous time the view is spectacular everything is five star with this condo. I can't say enough about it words don't describe it. We had fantastic food at the local Mexican restaurant the Chinese restaurant The Lost Roo which I think is a chain and the cottage Bakery is spectacular. We have 4 pies from them don't worry about the prices you're on vacation you can afford it one time. There's a great little breakfast place called Liz's and it was fantastic food. A couple of the places we stayed in it they were great too but I don't want to use up all my time on restaurants. I look forward to a year after my first day. Counted down the days. My help is on the port side I wasn't sure I'd make it but I got to. I'm hoping to return next year I'm starting to save my money and will if everything goes well return next year. Please don't change a thing it's fantastic. Maybe one thing a portable television for the bedroom. It would be nice to be able to lay in bed and watch TV. But everything else is beautiful and so is Sue fantastic she's the best property manager I've ever worked with. really can't think of anything to change. It's a beautiful magnificent Castle on the hill. Way high enough not to worry about any tsunami.
