May family and I had spent several busy, hot, humid days in Toronto and Niagara Falls before arriving at Feast of fields Vintner's Cottage in the heart of the Niagara wine country. This beautifully restored ca. 1830's cottage featured original open beam construction and wooden floors. Modern amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms - all well-presented, comfortable and clean. The cottage itself was tastefully decorated with many antique and period pieces by Laura, the owner/operator. The cottage is situated on Laura's property which is a working organic farm/orchard/vineyard. Laura was a charming and humorous host who graced our table with gifts of farm grown peaches and strawberries - delicious too I might add. The Twenty Valley district is scenic and peaceful and quite easy for vacationers to navigate around. Wineries abound in this area - you can't throw a stone without hitting one - many of them with nice tasting rooms and knowledgeable staff. The cottage is close to many of these lovely little spots, with a special shout-out to the good folks at Rockway and Kacaba wineries. We were very well treated by everyone and wouldn't hesitate to sasty here again.
