2 single mom families rented this house for 4 days in Niagara and had plenty of room to spread out. The rooms were comfortable, nicely furnished and the house was clean when we arrived.
The house is NOT owned by a private owner, but rather part of a bed and breakfast down the street. This shows in the few touches that were missing, that would be available if someone actually lived in the house.
The hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful in offering suggestions on the area, including creating our own private wine tour of favorite wineries in the area. HINT: don't go on an expensive tour. Take a map and wander through the area, much more fun!!
The breakfast was delicious, made fresh and served in the huge Victorian house 2 houses down, along with fresh fruit and coffee. The dining room is bright and has wonderful relaxing music playing.
The downside to the house was not being able to cook in the kitchen. REALLY??? I am not sure what cheap insurance policy is held for the house, but we didn't see the fine print until we had rented the house. IT would have been nice to cook a meal or two in the house.
The kitchen was ridiculously under equipped. Not a paper towel or kitchen towel or sponge in sight. Had to use bathroom towels to clean counters. There was no ice in the freezer.
One of the bathrooms has no mirror.
I think the house is well on its way to being nice and homey, it just needs a bit more TLC. On the whole it was a great vacation!!!
