It was our first time visiting this area of Ontario, and three nights was too short! Nearby Minden and Haliburton are a charming villages, and there is much to see and do around the area. All the same, it was good to get away, unplug, and relax for a few days. The cottage is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished (nice collection of books, games, and music CD's too) and the lake was perfectly serene. Only slight drawback (and we were forewarned) is that the cottage is on a somewhat steep hillside and there are many steps to get down there from the parking area. I would recommend that visitors keep this in mind when packing and perhaps consider bringing something like a little fold-up luggage cart for hauling things from the car and back. Overall, we were quite comfy and very pleased with our experience, and would love to return sometime with the grandkids in tow.
