Great, restful spot! Lots of space and natural light, great kitchen, patio and outdoor fire pit!

We were only there for one night, but the cottage itself is excellent, and for the most part easy to find. Marcus' directions via email were more than adequate and Google Maps will pick up the place just fine! More than enough space for the four of us with great amenities, particularly anything on the first floor! The downstairs was surprising; I didn't expect it to have as much natural light as it did, plus it's own entrance off the side... just a great layout overall, really! Patio was great for cooking and hanging out. It might have been just us not figuring it out, but a light for the patio that could be consistently turned on versus a motion sensor would be ideal for post-BBQ hangout time. Again, we might not have been turning on the right switches. Marcus is great to work with and very flexible. Our trip was very "in flux", but Marcus had no trouble with our version of time and still made an effort to come check in on us and make sure we were comfortable. I should also mention Marcus has done a great job laying out local tourism information in the cottage, including penciling in times things are open or providing notes for when is best to go. That goes a long way for someone completely new to the area. While the view is great, you can't access the water directly from the property, though it's only a short distance to a local trail that'll take you down. The property itself ends at a cliff (well fenced) with a drop down to the water/beach below. Thought to be honest, in this area you won't spend too much time on this beach as the tides are very high and will come straight up to the rock face. Marcus has compensated for lack of direct beach access with an excellent, well stocked and well positioned fire pit that's ideal for roasting marshmallows, taking in some mostly uninterrupted night sky and watching the moon rise over the basin. Trust me when I say we didn't miss the beach! Highly recommend, particularly for families or those looking for a quiet, well-equipped, cottage experience.

Delightful hosts, very quick to respond and provided a lot of info about the area before we arrived.

Not much to look at on the outside of the building but lovely inside. Comfortable, clean, well stocked and a great morning view of sun on the water. Lots of extra details made this a great find. We would stay again given the chance.

                    Beautifully restored farmhouse

Our stay at Earl's Place was fantastic. There were so many homey touches that greeted us from fresh cookies to a chalkboard welcoming our family. Brenda has done a fabulous job restoring this home and her warmth and hospitality shine through everywhere. We are a family of six and used the kitchen every night, and it is extremely well stocked with everything you could imagine you would need. Comfy beds, lots of space to spread out, games, etc... One of the nicest things about this property is the surrounding farm fields which we were invited to walk in. Stunning sunsets from the front porch and gorgeous views of the Bay of Fundy from the back porch are great to enjoy. It is also well situated as a jumping off point for lots of day trip activities. I'd highly recommend staying here.
