        Perfect Coastal Hideaway

        5 of 5
Had a wonderful family reunion at your beautiful home. It turned out to be the perfect place to relax, taking in a spectacular ocean view from every corner. My daughter and I would often joke in the evening as to where we planned to have morning coffee, the dining patio off to the left, the cozy alcove to the right, poolside, or one of our favourites...... watching the sun rise over the ocean from one of the Adirondack chairs perched above the beach.........albeit the biggest decision during our vacation.....just.the way it should be:) K Mean-Byrne

A perfect place to escape and reenergize

        5 of 5
In September of 2008 my wife and I took ten days to explore the beauty of Nova Socia. We stayed at this Cottage by the bay and felt like we were in our own castle with all the amenities of a five star hotel. Not only was the house breathtaking, but It was in the right location to provide picturesque views, to explore small towns nearby and the advantage to take day trips to the Cape Breton national park nearby. On our first evening we found bottled water at our bedside and chocolates on our pillows, an impressive start to our stay. In the evenings we sat on the deck and watch the sunset over the bay...oh how sweet and calming it was! Nature is also right at your front door as we encountered deer on the property and many apple trees filled with fruits. The perfect weather allowed us to go canoeing on very calm waters on a regular basis and most importantly we had the opportunity to do nothing whenever we chose to. This was luxury!! Our only regret was that all vacations must come to an end, but we are already planning for our return. Thank you Thomas and Katrin for the hospitality of your home away from home.
