Stately escape to Blue RIdge Mountains

          5 of 5
Our 5 day escape to Rideview Manor will be impossible to top! No words (or photos) can accurately capture the beauty of the mountain views or the stately feeling of the soaring ceilings and amenities of Ridgeview Manor. I was impressed by the photos, but the views and the beauty of this property must be seen to be believed. Ridgeview Manor balances the elegance of a French chateau and the warmth of a cozy mountain home. Did I mention the views--they are spectacular and literally 360 degrees of landscape shots worthy of your time. With plenty of room for our two families, our kids swam in the heated pool (and hot tub) in February (no less) and enjoyed smores in the fire pit under all of the stars we can't usually see from Charlotte. We also hiked down to an amazing waterfall, which are kids could barely stay out of. We skied two days at App Ski Mtn (~20 minutes away), and we are already planning to come back next year (ski school was a plus). After the 6 kids went to sleep we enjoyed the hot tub under the stars and hit the sauna just for good measures. What followed, was probably the best night's sleep I have had in 10 years. The light in Ridgeview Manor permeates every room from the large windows adorning every wall and the glass portico on the top of the roof! This includes the billiards room, great room and kitchen where we cooked up a storm and seated all of our families at the large dining room table. Lastly, waking up to fresh snow was quite a treat! Whether you come in the winter, spring, summer or fall for a getaway, Ridgeview Manor must be at the top of your list for wonderful escapes in the Blue Ridge Mountains!
