        Recent Hiwassee Lake Reviews

        An awesome lodge!

        4 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at the lodge and will consider returning at some point in the future. When we arrived the cabin was open and brownie bites prepared by Ginger were waiting in the cookie jar (they were delicious). When I write a review I like to explain to future guest what to expect and that’s the theme of this review. If anything seems critical that’s not the intent, just want to give a good review. Downstairs Large family room with gas fire logs that heat the house nicely. The TV network is Directv and it worked without any issues. The kitchen is large for a cabin and we enjoyed cooking all our meals. There is one bathroom downstairs along with 2 bedrooms (one king and one queen). The beds upstairs and down were very comfortable. The washer and dryer are in the bathroom and worked without issues. Upstairs There are two bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms. One bedroom has a bathroom and the other bathroom is separate. The loft area has a sofa couch and one child who slept on it said it was comfortable. Outside The hot tub was very nice and we all enjoyed it. The deck area is large and while we didn’t use it, I imagine it would be wonderful in the summer. The fire pit was used two nights. There were a few pieces of firewood available and we used them in addition to searching the woods for wood. Wi-Fi The Wi-Fi was hit and miss. I didn’t bother me tremendously, but if you have a family that can’t do without it, this might not be the place. On the other hand that might be what you’re looking for in a cabin. Other items Graham Country is a dry county and the nearest town with availability is about 45 minutes from the cabin. Going west on HWY 143 puts you on a scenic route to Tennessee with several hiking trails and observation locations. As I said above we had a wonderful time and I would encourage everyone to rent this Lodge. It’s a great get away and if we can work it out, we’ll be back.
