awesome cabin with breathtaking view. Everything you need for an incredible vacation

                5 of 5
Everything was great. Bryan, the owner was great to work with. The location is perfect if you want privacy and quite, the view is spectacular from the front porch. All you have to bring is your clothes, they even provided soap and shampoo !!! Its everything that is advertised and more !!! The only "caution" I have is, if you are there to ride motorcycles as we were, the drive up and down to the cabin is extremely technical. Its probably a half a mile straight up and is a combination of concrete, asphalt and gravel, mostly gravel. We are all experienced riders but this thing is about a 9.5 on the "pucker factor". I will stay there again and if you are going in a car or truck this place is perfect !!!

                Relaxing Getaway

                5 of 5
We had a great time at Whisper Mountain Chalet. My daughter and I took 4 of my grandchildren, ages 8 to 14 with us. The grandchildren had never been to the mountains and they had a great time. We took the children down to the lake in the valley several times to fish and ride around in the paddle boat. It is walking distance from the cabin. The cabin was roomy enough for all of us and quite cheerful and clean. It is at the top of the mountain and the first trip up on a gravel road seemed quite steep to us flatlanders. (We are from Tampa Bay area)However,we got used to driving the roads and made it easily in my Chrysler van. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. We were grateful for the clothes washer and dryer. Sandi and her husband were nice and very helpful and quickly took care of a minor plumbing problem while we were out sightseeing. We went into Bryson City several times and the kids enjoyed Deep Creek where you can rent a tube and float down the creek all day.We took a short hike from Deep Creek to see Juniwhank Falls. Cherokee and Maggie Valley were another day trip. Nantahala Gorge is close by where you can go white water rafting or kayaking. My 14 year old grandson who is an avid saltwater fisherman, fell in love with fly fishing and received some valuable tips from a fishing guide at Nantahala Outdoor Fitters. We found that there was no service for our T-Mobile cell phones at the cabin and we had to drive toward Bryson City for about 20 minutes before service kicked in. That disturbed the kids the first day but I actually liked it. They gave up texting and computer games for board games, roasting marshmallows in the fireplace and catching their first fireflys. While wading in the cool water of nearby Panther Creek, they found an authentic Indian arrowhead. After we returned home, my 11 and 12 year old grandsons said," This was the best vacation ever. Even way better than the cruise that we took last year." Thank you Sandi for helping me create happy memories for my family.

Amazing family trip to enjoy Autumn!

This is my family's second time staying at one of Sandi's cabins. This time we brought along my best friend and her family. We had a total of 4 kids ranging from 2-9 years old & the 4 adults. Everyone had an absolute blast! From the moment we walked in we just felt at home. We cooked out on the grill a few times for dinner & it was so great to share some laughs with the adults while the kids ran around outside & had so much fun. Being from Florida we don't get the fall leaves or anything remotely resembling the picturesque mountain setting that you get at this property. The cabin itself was spacious, clean, and had everything any family would need. The beds were quite comfortable. The hot tub was divine! The only thing we had an issue with was the stairs since we had a 2 year old with us, but that was minor & could have been easily remedied had we brought 3 baby gates. Also the location is quite convenient to do some sight seeing & visiting the town. I can't wait to book another cabin!
