Its like the house from the Dumb and Dumber Movie

I've rented this house twice in the last three years and hope I get another chance sometime soon. I've now realized I cannot tell people I am renting a "cabin" in the mountains for the weekend; after they see the pictures everyone reminds me of Mary Swanson's house in the Dumb and Dumber movie; this place is large and beautiful. It's private enough that you think you have the mountain to yourself; its as if you are living each day in a photograph. Mark was very responsive when we had questions, he even mailed back the watch I left behind. Lots of great memories at this place.

Fantastic property, Friendly People, Good for all occasions

We had 40+ friends and were concerned before the trip that there wouldn't be enough beds, it would be tough to get the security deposit, etc. Our concerns immediately disappeared. The house was in good condition and the property was massive (We had soccer games, Frisbee games, went on hikes, had a large bonfire, used the house grills). We easily could have slept 55 people and we left many beds unused. The kitchen was great for making a large meal and the living room and dining rooms perfect for eating and hanging out. Everyone hung out in the basement later in the night with people dancing on the stage. This was exactly what we were looking for and everyone left the trip saying "We need to do this again next year". Annie the homeowner and Adam the house manager were very friendly and easy to get in touch with. The return of the security deposit was an easy process.

Gorgeous stay in a truly special place.

We enjoyed impeccable hospitality during our stay. The grounds are wonderful and the house is every bit as beautiful as the photos would suggest. In the morning, we enjoyed gourmet breakfast and tea from Spillian's kitchen. We spent afternoons and evenings exploring the Catskills based on Mark's expert knowledge of the area. We only rented a suite (w/ private bathroom) rather than the whole home, but I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone- especially those looking for a special venue in which to hold a retreat, gathering, or reunion of any kind.
