Excellent Home for a Large Group

5 of 5
I was part of a group of 12 adults (mainly couples) for a ski trip at Gore. The house was fantastic. Lots of room for everyone to sleep, hang out, play board games, etc. The living room is great for relaxing, the grand room with the fire place is great for warming up after a day of skiing. The kitchen table was large and there was no trouble cooking for and seating the entire group for a meal at the large table. Also, it's excellent having the many full bathrooms available for getting everyone ready in the morning and cleaning off after a long day at the slopes. The owners were quick to respond during the booking process with all requested information. They were also easy to get a hold of during our stay to answer any questions that we may have had. Add to all this that the house itself is beautiful on a nice, private piece of property. Overall a great place to stay. We would love to book here again if making another trip to Gore.

Very nice cabin. Love to listen to the river.

Everything was very nice. My only complaint would be not getting the dvd player to work. Every disc we put in it said it was a bad disc. Not sure if it was the player or operator error. Also there was some garbage under the kitchen sink on the door. Maybe previous renters. But overall it was very nice.

Quaint camp with an ideal location

4 of 5
Located just outside of the Village of Ticonderoga, this little house offers a fantastic location for summer adventures. It's on the water with a dock and paddleboat. A marina is literally across the water, so during our stay we rented a boat, motored it to the dock, loaded up our provisions, and had a stellar day on the magnificent Lake George. A trailhead for a scenic hike can't be more than a mile away to the south, and you can get views of Lake George to the south or Ticonderoga to the north/east. The back porch is gigantic and is equipped with a nice gas grill. The house itself is a bit small, but completely adequate. Make note of the potable versus non-potable water (as an engineer, I was impressed at the filter/UV disinfection system they used). Downstairs bedroom access is via a steep ladder/stair. Thank you for your hospitality, Mary!
