We just arrived home from our two week trip to Lake George, where we totally enjoyed our lovely stay. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the Brown's, who were kind, courteous, and very friendly and accommodating. The cottage was really nice, spacious, well equipped , and very comfortable. It was surrounded by water on three sides, and made you feel as if you were on your own private island, with many areas designed to sit and relax. Swimming, fishing, and boating were just steps away. The views were absolutely magnificent from all sides, and the sunsets were breathtaking. We have been going to Lake George for many years, but this was our first experience at this cottage, and we loved it! We hope to come again next year.

Very nice place to get away from it all

The property is well maintained both inside and out. Everything was clean and ready for us to use. The bedrooms are great, and there's even an alcove with a bed above the kitchen that isn't mentioned in the description which turned out to be great for us. Turning to the outside, the grill worked right away and there's a stone fire pit on the outer edge of the property that's great for a nice relaxing evening. The selection of movies available was excellent for when we wanted to unwind after a day out. However, there were a few hiccups. For one thing, the driveway up to the house is treacherous. The first 2 feet or so is just gravel, not pavement, so getting a grip is very difficult. It's also very low and I have a lower car, so I bottomed out when my friends and I arrived. Also, the power went out on us a few times. The owners left behind a manual with what to do in case that happened, so we were fine in the end. But just something to keep in mind so there's no surprises. Most importantly, be sure to discuss how to actually get into the house with the owners before arriving. I don't remember seeing how to enter the house and had to call them after getting up there. Again, this information may have been available to me and I just didn't see it. But definitely contact Mike and Janice if you aren't sure beforehand as cell coverage is nearly non existent up there. Speaking of contacting the owners, they were incredibly helpful at every turn, whether it was calling about entering the house or confirming what to do when the power first went out. They are always accessible and very pleasant to speak with.
