Delightful location with the bonus of a pool

                4 of 5
The Nest is extremely cosy. Tucked away on a side street in Woodstock, it is easy to leave the car parked and explore the entire town. The garden is delightful and the swimming pool was an unexpected bonus, on what happened to be an extremely hot and humid week in July. The furnishings are quite nice and everything was functional. The only "con" was the bed was rather hard and storage space for clothing was rather limited because the drawers were filled with games (not necessarily a bad thing). We really appreciated the responsiveness of the property manager and thank Chelsea for suggesting the Nest.

We spent 12 nights in this lovely cottage which was part of a larger bed and breakfast.

The cottage was comfortable and nicely appointed. Our hosts provided essential kitchen and grocery needs. The kitchenette is fine for preparing a small meal. The bedroom had lots of space including closets, and the bed was quite comfortable. The owner of the property is a warm and gracious host. We will definitely be back!

                Great place to stay!

The take away: 1) Very responsive and friendly owner. When we experienced trouble he communicated with us every step of the way. 2)This is a great cabin to stay in if you like rustic camping. If you don't mind using an outhouse, cooking with gas, and filtering your water then we highly recommend! 3) Very charming and well-stocked cabin. **However, we found the cabin in poor condition. The people before us couldn't be bothered to walk 50 feet to the outhouse, and they decided doing their business on the path surrounding the house was somehow acceptable. They also went INSIDE the outdoor fire pit. I'm at a loss of words for the insane amount of disrespect. The owner, Andrew (we don't blame, clearly not his fault,) was very responsive and apologetic. **The water pump also did not work after multiple tries. Andrew did his best to walk us through a handful of things to try, but in the end it just didn't work. Luckily, we're backpackers, and we had brought our water filtration system with us. In the end, we had an amazing time at the cabin celebrating my husband's birthday. It is secluded and beautiful and just what we were looking for. It was so much fun chopping wood (there was plenty already chopped--but what's the fun in that!) and playing board games by the stove. We hope others will enjoy it as much as we did.
