        Will definitely return

Absolutely love this rental. Easy distance to the village of Northville as well as a hop, skip and a jump to the beach and Sport Island Pub. Less than an hour drive to Saratoga and easy day trips to Speculator, Tupper Lake and Lake Placid. And Jessica is wonderful, only a phone call away and always ready to help out.

Great little vacation spot in the Adirondacks!

Rented this cabin out in September and really enjoyed the stay there. Stepping into it for the first time I was more impressed then I expected from the online listing. Everything was very neat and clean, minus a dish or two, but nothing we couldn't handle. AC worked great and kept us cool during the warmer days and at night. Nancy was very nice and welcoming during our stay. Having access to the canoe and kayaks was definitely a plus being right on the water and having our fishing poles handy. Just a short drive to Lake George for a nice day trip and just the overall views in Northville were great. Having a grocery store right in town and the grill on the porch was definitely a plus too. Plenty of spots to hike, fish, explore and more. My only complaint was not having cable/satellite or wifi/better cell signal, but for a few days it was nothing we couldn't live without. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice small cabin in the Adirondacks that still has modern amenities.

Best way to start the summer season!

We had three couples in our group. We also had a few visitors during the day.The weather was mostly cool, windy and rainy. It sounds like the type of weather that would ruin the trip, but it did not. First: The owners are awesome! Most people feel leery about having owners around when they are renting, but these are the type of owners you want around. They live in the first house of the long driveway. Bill and Lauren could not have been more accommodating and helpful if they tried. Our boat broke down during the only window of opportunity we had to ride. Bill save the day by lending us a socket wrench to replace the spark plug. Lauren informed us on all the things going on in the area that weekend. They made us feel at home. The place was nice and felt better as the time passed. The kitchen and living are on the main floor with a fireplace and vaulted ceiling. There are sliding glass doors that leads to the deck. The deck wraps around two sides of the house. It is huge with a beautiful view. The grill is on the deck. There is a fire place in the back with a great view also. Firewood is provided by the owner. There are stairs that lead down to the private boat dock. Plenty of things to do here. The downstairs has two more bedrooms a bar and living room. It's close to a convenience store, bar, bakery and numerous other businesses within walking distance. There are plenty of board games in the house which we used during the rain. We also used both the outdoor and indoor fireplace. I can't say enough about Doc's Place. I would definitely stay here again. We loved it.
