The apartment is located conveniently between Chinatown and Little Italy. The subway station(s) are located nearby and there is absolutely no need for a car if you're situated here. It can take you to all of the sites/attractions within minutes. This proved extremely convenient when they had the Lunar New Year celebrations going on in Chinatown.
Check-in was easy. I kept in touch with the owner's friend and he got there as soon as I arrived and showed us everything we needed to know about the place. The outside isn't the most impressive but the inside looks as good as the pictures. There were plenty of towels, sheets, and pillows for us.
I stayed here in early February, and the heater was running nonstop. It was HOT. Beware that the walls are thin and you will here footsteps from people going up and down the stairs and any neighbor's conversations. I would not recommend it for any light sleepers. Luckily, that is not me. The bed was also not the most comfortable. I would even argue that the pad on the sofa had more support than the bed itself. We still managed to fit 2 on the bed and 1 on the sofa pad.
Overall, the experience was positive. For the price, it couldn't be beat and the location is steps away from the subway. Book this if you're looking to spend less on living and more on living it up!
