A huge thank you to the Esper family for having us. We went up to the cabin for a quiet weekend away from everything to enjoy my Birthday. What we were expecting was a cabin tucked away in the woods with beautiful mountain views on the river. I feel foolish now thinking that was all we were expecting. The location was easy to get to and far away enough from the neighbors and civilization to get you that true cabin in the woods experience. The property was large and fully stocked with everything you may need. Only thing you would have to bring is your food and clothes. (Maybe some fishing poles and a camera... Definitely bring a camera!!!)
We arrived at night and the first thing my other half said to me is "why are there no curtains on the bedroom balcony door"! Well when we woke up the next morning we learned why. OMG THE VIEW! It was quite literally breathtaking.
The cabin itself was clean, comfortable, homey and the furniture and pictures throughout the place were authentic and gave you a true cabin feel.
The mountain views could leave you speechless. We ate breakfast and had our coffee on a rock down by the river that morning. I truly couldn't of asked to a better place to stay.
You are a short drive to Lake Placid, whiteface mountain sking, and some of the most gorgeous hiking trails I have been on!
The owners were accommodating; left us alone and were incredibly helpful. I cannot wait to book my next trip up to this property! Next time I'm staying for a week; maybe two! Thank you Johnathan for everything! I would recommend your cabin to anybody interested in a truely beautiful and peaceful vacation!
