                EXCELLENT VACATION!

                5 of 5
We booked this house for our family reunion for August 2016. Words really can't describe how perfect this house was. We were a group of 25 (ages 2-81). The House: BEAUTIFUL and open! There was plenty of rooms for our group and the lay out was great. The bottom floor was perfect for the kids and teenagers. 5 girls slept in the "bunk room" and had a blast. Especially because that room was right next to the media room and the pool table/game area. Laundry room was a nice bonus. The kitchen was open and roomy with the large table that actually fit all of us! We actually cooked every meal there even though we didn't plan on it. Dishwasher was a plus as was the extra, large freezer in addition to the refrigerator. The lake was beautiful, the kids loved swimming in it and using the canoe. We brought a bunch of tubes and floated around the lake all the time. The water was clean and definitely swimmable which we were concerned about from previous lake house vacations! The deck was perfect, it kept the little guys contained because there was no access to the bottom level from there which was a big plus for us. At Teddy's suggestion we brought a baby pool and had them hang out on the deck for most of the vacation, it was nice having a contained large space for them! Our favorite part was the fire pit. There was only one night we didn't use it and that was because there was a spectacular lightening storm. (we actually shut off all the lights in the house and sat in the living room watching the lightening thru the huge windows!) But we had smores every night and sat around the firepit for hours enjoying adult time while the older kids were in the media room and younger ones were sleeping. Teddy was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay and made the vacation smooth for us. There were only two negatives: Only 1/2 of the hot tub jets worked but that didn't stop us from enjoying it every night! And the ice maker on the fridge didn't work even after the owners tried to fix it for us. All in all the stay was fantastic and I can't thank Teddy enough for the vacation. My father is still talking about hanging out on the deck and enjoying time with his kids and grandkids. I highly recommend this house for a large group of all ages! TIPS: There is a steep hill to get to the lake access, watch the little ones and the elderly. Stairs or a ramp may be a good addition in the future. Also, ZIPLINE at Hunter Mountain! Life changing experience!

Nice cabin with a lot to do and a beautiful surrounding area

                5 of 5
The cabin was great, it's loaded with things to do, from the arcade and foosball, to the lake, to cable boxes so that you wont miss your Sunday football. ;) It is well kept and clean, with more than enough space for everyone to relax. The fire pit is nice and big, so you will have no problem fitting all of your friends and family around it at night. It also has its own wifi for the cabin, internet is no problem All in all its a great choice and i would definitely recommend it. As we were getting ready to leave all anyone was talking about was coming back next year!

Amazing new house with excellent amenities!

We rented Your Own Lodge as a Labor Day Weekend getaway for a large group of young professionals, evenly split between singles and couples. The Lodge lived up to and surpassed the description and photos in the listing. Everything felt brand new, the house was HUGE, and everyone really appreciated the copious amount of bathrooms. Brett was very helpful in providing accurate information about the layout while we were planning so there would be no surprises. He gave clear instructions and everything was smooth sailing once we arrived. We were lucky to catch good weather and spent a lot of time outside by the pool and barbecuing. There are also plenty of nearby activities - some of our group visited a winery, others went hiking, and some of the thrill seekers went cliff jumping! We've rented from Brett in the past and have always had great experiences. We would highly recommend him and his properties to family, friends, and colleagues!
