                    Recent Glen Spey Reviews

It was wonderful, very comfortable and cozy for a Christmas getaway.

We thought the house was great and, amazingly, there was snow on the ground, which was what we hoped for! We loved hearing the brook when we were outside. We need to come back in the summer to appreciate it with the windows open. Everything was clean and neat. The loft bed was great. The pull-out trundle worked for two people, but there is very little room to get around with it pulled out. (It is called a small room, and it is!). We loved the fireplace and used it a lot. We found we had to buy more firewood, because what was provided did not last even one day. Admittedly, we spent a lot of time in the house and used the fireplace during most of our waking hours, so we weren't surprised. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen, bringing some of our own equipment, but the basics were there and very much appreciated. We missed having a table to sit and eat at, but we found the large ottoman, when protected by placemats, worked ok to sit around and eat at. We loved walking up the road and trail to the waterfall. We would highly recommend this cottage, and hope to come back in the other seasons. Thank you!

                    AMAZING and quiet retreat!!

Our stay at Three Bridges was nothing short of delightful. We are big hikers in my family so the location felt perfect- it was remote and private but at the same time in close proximity to the Delaware river and local hikes. We had to reach out to Tracey with a question when we arrived and she responded quickly and thoroughly. The cottage is cozy and well equipped- the upstairs room suited our kids perfectly. I particularly enjoyed the view out the kitchen window (which was huge!)- as a city dweller to see deer as I cooked was a total treat!!! There are grocery stores decently close by but they don't have everything- if you're a big foodie I'd recommend bringing specialties or checking out the Blue Heron in Narrowsburg for a delicious farm-to-table meal. I'd suggest Three Bridges to anyone looking for a quiet and private place to retreat in the Poconos.

                    Lovely Hideaway

I should have written this last summer (2015) when I stayed at the cottage for 7 weeks. Charming. Comfortable. Quiet. Bright and cheery. Clean. Nice size kitchen, well-equipped for cooking full-size meals. Loved watching the birds at the feeder--hummingbirds, a wren, goldfinches, etc--and a pesky squirrel that hung upside down from the wire to get the food. English garden surrounded by forest. Feeling of seclusion even with nearby neighbors. Comfortable queen bed. Washer and dryer, a bennie for travelers. Lake Superior, about a ten minute drive, was my favorite swimming hole--and they rent rowboats. Well-located for restaurants and an ice cream shop (Kauneonga Lake). A small market and a gas station about 1 mile from cottage. Very close to Bethel Woods. Supermarket in Monticello and Liberty. Lots of local color. Lots of interesting roads for jaunts in the countryside. I used the cottage as a retreat for writing. Good place to work. Owner was friendly, accommodating and easy to reach. I was sorry to leave. (BTW, I actually arrived July 6, 2015, but I couldn't enter that date.)
