                An Enchanting Find!

                5 of 5
This was an enchanting find! A bright and sunny, loft-like cottage on a quiet lane in Woodstock. Very pretty, neat, and spotlessly clean, it's a peaceful and private place that looks out over grassy fields and sunsets. I was there for a week to work on some drawings and it was a perfect place to concentrate. I loved sitting outside on the steps in the wee hours, looking at constellations and shooting stars (really!) and just listening to the quiet summer night. There are two brilliantly conceived very large skylights and my favorite thing was watching the stars through the skylight that's directly over the bed! The bed is huge, comfortable, and very luxurious. The slope of the ceilings might be challenging to some but it's beautifully designed and easy to live in and really, every need has been anticipated. You need nothing but your toothbrush and if you forget it, there's a pharmacy a block away. Chelsea is the best. She makes everything happen -easily, graciously, and professionally.

                Great place to stay!

                4 of 5
The take away: 1) Very responsive and friendly owner. When we experienced trouble he communicated with us every step of the way. 2)This is a great cabin to stay in if you like rustic camping. If you don't mind using an outhouse, cooking with gas, and filtering your water then we highly recommend! 3) Very charming and well-stocked cabin. **However, we found the cabin in poor condition. The people before us couldn't be bothered to walk 50 feet to the outhouse, and they decided doing their business on the path surrounding the house was somehow acceptable. They also went INSIDE the outdoor fire pit. I'm at a loss of words for the insane amount of disrespect. The owner, Andrew (we don't blame, clearly not his fault,) was very responsive and apologetic. **The water pump also did not work after multiple tries. Andrew did his best to walk us through a handful of things to try, but in the end it just didn't work. Luckily, we're backpackers, and we had brought our water filtration system with us. In the end, we had an amazing time at the cabin celebrating my husband's birthday. It is secluded and beautiful and just what we were looking for. It was so much fun chopping wood (there was plenty already chopped--but what's the fun in that!) and playing board games by the stove. We hope others will enjoy it as much as we did.
