My girlfriend and I found this cottage when looking for a nice Labor Day Weekend getaway. Josephine was polite and easy to communicate with, and we went ahead with the rental.
Arriving was a little difficult, the houses aren't marked very clearly with addresses, and you have to drive on a one lane unpaved road. It took us a little while of going up and down the road (we also arrived just after sunset, which didn't help), but we eventually found the house by recognizing the door from the property photos (hint: don't turn left at the fork in the road like we did at first! The house is on the main road just before the road ends).
The house itself was perfect for our needs. It was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was right there. We even had 2 guests for a night during our stay and the house comfortably slept all 4 of us. The backyard is fantastic, with a great deck, grill and fire pit. We enjoyed making meals outside and playing card games at the picnic table while listening to music.
The TV and supplied cable and Roku box worked just as Josephine described, and we were able to watch movies at night and just be comfortable.
We walked down to White Pond in the mornings and took in the scenery there. It was gorgeous! It's just a short walk down a rocky trail, and is rather isolated. It was a great scenic break from the cluttered city, and at only a little over an hour away, it was perfect for our little getaway.
Overall, I would most definitely recommend both Josephine and the cottage if you are considering visiting there. She was more than pleasant and very easy to communicate with. We truly enjoyed our getaway from the city, and will most definitely be looking to return again. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax for a little while. Thank you so much Josephine!
