          Waterfront estate with spectacular view!

          5 of 5
After many years of renting properties all around the lake for our large family, we finally hit the jackpot with this iconic lakeside estate. It is a spacious compound with a fabulous view of the lake. In the main house, we enjoyed the classic period decor with our favorite room being the light green painted sun room with a large array of windows facing the lake. Outside, another choice spot was the large upper stone patio where all of us ate most meals. Surrounding this patio were beautiful large planters of geraniums framing a panoramic view of the lake. The sandy bottom swimming area was accessed via wide wooden steps; we found this to be a safety feature for the children (and adults too). The protected cove area is perfect for the kayaks and paddle boards. There is a spacious covered boat slip for our boat which made it convenient to leave the boat uncovered at night. While the rest of the family stayed in the main house and cabin, we occupied the guest house. What a wonderful surprise to find that the bedroom not only had a view of the lake through the sliding glass doors, but lead to a small deck where you could relax in the provided chairs and watch the sunset All in all, a delightful vacation spot for an expanded family.
