      We Love Loon's Nest

      5 of 5
This is the third summer we have spent at the Loon's Nest with our children and grandchildren. We love the seclusion of the cottage, yet easy access to the lake. The chalet is spacious with all the amenities of home, can comfortably fit 8, the private setting made for quiet evenings, and the screened in porch is great to relax on and listen to the animals. Our granddaughter calls it the mansion in the woods and loves "camping" in the loft. It's a short walk to the beach and having the canoe and kayaks let us explore Loon Lake and discover the rope swing. Lake Placid is an easy 30 minute drive and if you like to hike, many of the High Peaks are within range, including Mount Marcy. The owners are extremely easy to work with and provided directions and lots of information on the area. We had a great vacation, enjoyed the secluded setting, but were close enough to everything we wanted to experience in the Adirondacks.

A wonderful stay during Indian Summer

      5 of 5
My husband and I had a few relaxing days in the house at the sea. All was well maintained, clean and we had all, what we needed. With Rich we had a nice email communication and Frances was so charming and helpful we couldn't help but feeling comfortable. We did a few daytrips to Lake Placid, St.-Lawrence-River and to Lake Champlain. We enjoyed our stay and consider to come back and to bring friends with us.
