When I arrived at this house at night after a terrible drive from Washington dc (meeting friends from Boston), I was excited when I opened the door. The pictures in this listing don't do it justice. I would absolutely recommend this house. Good open spaces, big and high windows, and all the modern finishes and amenities. We had a group of 8: 4 adults and 4 kids ages 8-12 and it was the perfect amount of space since we were skiing all day (no additional basement/rec room). Two bedrooms up and two bedrooms down. The boys slept in the loft space that has a fold-out futon and a murphy bed (they thought this was super cool). The girls each scored their own rooms. Very well maintained. The windows in the living space are wonderful with a picture perfect view of the pond. Same great view from the hot tub. great deck that I would image is even better in the summer. Nice toasty Sauna. Three of the bedrooms have TVs. Small kitchen but high end finishes and opens to a good size dining space. It's truly a mile from the base of the mountain and it's in a cul-de-sac. Owner was easy to work with. Know Before you go:
1. Ask for extra instructions for the heating system. I'm certain it was user error on our part, but we just couldn't get the main living spaces to heat correctly.
2. The only inconvenience was the trash situation. The owners have not arranged for trash pick up, nor do they provide outdoor trash cans, and there is no garbage disposal. You will need to bring your trash to the dump, which is not far, but hard to find. The dump is only open on certain days and somewhat limited hours. I suggest you scope it out when you get into town, review their hours of operations, and plan to bring the trash every couple of days. I think they charge $2 a bag.
