                  Idyllic Farmhouse Stay

                  5 of 5
This was such a stellar experience! Our group of 8 stayed in the Buckley House for 1 month, and it was magical. From the little lambs that visited us in our backyard, to the friendly staff at the butcher shop/cafe just 30 feet from our door, to the kid-friendly grounds, this place had it all. Even the farm dogs Maria and Hawk who "greeted" you when you drove in made the stay so homey. We had fresh eggs, milk and meats anytime we wanted. And don't get me started on the pancakes and BLT from the cafe!!! The hosts (Jeri the property manager and Mark the owner) were truly accommodating, and worked hard to fix our wifi issue. We felt so welcome. The comfortable, big house has been meticulously maintained, and we took advantage of the fire pit to make S'mores many a night. We did not want to leave, that's for sure! Thank you so much Jeri & Mark!

                  charming indeed

                  5 of 5
We stayed over the NYC winter break 2016 while temperatures dropped to 6 degrees Fahrenheit....and the house was super cozy. Aesthetically the house is a pleasure to be in. Many windows with a 360 view of surrounding farmland/hills made me not want to leave. All buildings are amazingly restored and add to picturesque surroundings. Looking forward to another stay. Host was very pleasant, too!

                  Home for Thanksgiving!

                  5 of 5
It's always exciting to be able to spend time with family and friends back in your hometown of Saratoga, and, be able to host Thanksgiving in a comfortable roomy environment. 16 for dinner with room to spare. A very large kitchen for preparation, seating in the dining room, as well as, the kitchen. What a memorable day - so cozy reminiscing around the patio fire pit, playing toss the bean bag out in the yard, watching lots of football games on the televisions, and ending the evening with the fire place going and having hot cocoa. It just doesn't get any better. The house's location is perfect for getting into Saratoga within minutes, Albany Airport is about 30 minutes, heading into Vermont is 45-60 minutes. It's great to have comfortable beds, bedding & lots of pillows; comfortable seating for settling in for t.v. night; good sized bath rooms with lots of fluffy towels; a good sized kitchen; a separate laundry room; a nice sized office area in the loft. We felt like we were home. Jay does so many little things to make your stay so good that you'll want to come back. We got in around midnight and the lights were on. We didn't have to rush out for groceries that morning because breakfast items were already there - pretty nice. The basics are in the kitchen (plus some fun snacks - let's not forget marshmallows !), plenty of toiletry items, wood for the fire pit and fire place. This is our second stay at Jay's house. Thank you for making it a great memory.
