                  Loved our stay!

                  5 of 5
This home was beautifully redone. It was spacious for our family of 4 adults and two young children. It was very clean and well stocked with all the necessities. (i.e pots and pans, utensils, plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, towels, sheets, etc). We met the owner Eileen and her daughter Sarah. They were very nice and great hosts. The beach was nice for our 2 young grandchildren and was just a very short walk from the cabin. The wraparound porch was nice to sit and relax. In the morning, you can sit on the deck with a cup of coffee and listen to the loons. During the day, we used the kayaks included with the rental to explore the beautiful, crystal clear lake. My husband caught about 10 large mouth bass while fishing from the kayak. At night, we sat around the campfire and roasted marshmallows for our S'mores. There isn't air conditioning but with the vaulted ceiling and ceiling fans, it stayed pretty cool. The only suggestion I have, is to have blinds/curtains on the sliding glass door and the 1st floor bedroom. The neighbors aren't close by and there are trees separating the properties so it's pretty private, but for me, I like to be able to cover up the windows. Overall, it was a great stay and a perfect spot to enjoy the Adirondacks!

Great cabin, convenient location, yet private

                  5 of 5
The cabin is clean, well stocked & private. The screened in porch is a definite plus. While it is private, it's just a short ride to the grocery store, restaurants & the beach. There were 5 in or crew: my wife & I, Daughter & 2 grand kids (2 & 6). While staying at the cabin, we visited Ft Ticonderoga (30 minute drive), Lake George (30 minutes) and the Schroon Lake beach (a 5 minute drive). We also took a day trip to "The Wild Center" in Tupper Lake (an hour & a half drive). The Wild Center is an educational center of wild life in the Adirondack Region (it was worth the trip). We all enjoyed the outings. The kids really enjoyed the beach which is clean, the water is clear, and areas are roped off based on dept of the water. The 6 yr old LOVED The Wild Center, where between the indoor & outdoor exhibits, you can spend the majority of a day. During our stay we ate at Shirley's Diner (a quick lunch), Flanigan's Pub (good Bar food), Sticks & Stones - good food but a little crowded & noisy, and Witherbee's Carriage House -Good food & quieter. If you're into road biking, there's a good 26 mile loop that goes all around the lake starting at the end of the driveway. While about 12 miles of the loop is on Rt 9, the shoulder on rt 9 is really wide. We had a great vacation, & stayed at a great cabin. We would stay here again if visiting the area in the future.
