Waterville Valley: Vacation Lodge Rentals (8)

                  Recent Waterville Valley Reviews

The nostalgic feel and beauty of the property was beyond our expectations.

                  5 of 5
We were delighted by Colonial Pines from the minute we saw the cluster of charming white cabins set amid a stand of tall pines on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. The nostalgic feel and beauty of The Lodge was beyond our expectations. Our bedroom was very comfortable and charmingly decorated with a beautiful view of the lake and mountain from our front window. Cindy and Gary could not have been more welcoming, friendly, and accommodating hosts. We look forward to a return visit.

Clean and Comfortable House in a Great Location

                  5 of 5
The house was very clean which was one of the top desired features we were looking for. It was very nicely decorated. Although it looks small in a picture, we felt comfortable having 11 people (friends, ages 26-30). We brought our own air matresses as we were warned that the house sleeps only 8 people; however there are also two couches in addition to 4 regular beds that can be used for sleeping. Additional nice features included an outside deck, gas grill and a hot tub. Having 2 full bathrooms, a good-size kitchen, a family-style dining table and a big couch was sufficient for 11 people to be comfortable and spend time together. There was no cell service in the house (at&t) but we used the free wifi instead. The cell service was available within 1-3 minutes from the house (as we learned, this is much better than in other areas). The house is located in a quiet residential area, ~8 minutes from downtown North Conway (gas stations, supermarkets & a hospital - all turned out to be important). It is not recommended to have parties outside at night - the neighbors are located pretty close to the house (but we were fairly warned about it by Maureen). Maureen, the house owner, was organized, professional and very responsive to all questions. We were provided with all do's and dont's and a checklist before our arrival so we knew exactly what to expect. Our deposit was returned within a week of our stay at the house. The nice thing was that there was no fixed check-in time. We arrived at the house much later than we anticipated (~10.30pm) but we didn't have to worry that someone is waiting for us. Thanks to the clear instructions, the "self check-in" was very easy. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place.

An amazing cabin for a family vacation!!!

                  5 of 5
The cabin was spacious, modern and very clean. Perfect for a family reunion. We spent a week with 3 sisters (and their families) and Mom, who was celebrating her 90th year! All had fun, no complaints. Close to hiking, tubing - even shopping. Mostly, we just hung out at the lake, swimming, boating and reading! The house was "on the lake" as advertised! Great location if you are looking for a secluded cabin with lots of amenities. Beach area (sandy bottom, no water shoes needed) and swim float really nice and enjoyed by young and old alike. Boats available for use a big plus. Nice area just outside the door for outside dining. Campfire great! We used it every night! This house sleeps 11 (ONLY) comfortably. Others must use couches or the floor. But there is lots of room for sleeping bags, etc. We had a fantastic vacation and recommend this cabin highly.
