Like everyone is saying, you can not beat this location. Amazing for families;(Older kids can just head out to the mountain, head back for lunch and then back out again). We loved the convenience of just taking the magic carpet to the to of the hill and walking to the house. We were there for MLK/Independence weekend and we just walked down for the parade of lights and fireworks...it was a great experience. There was plenty of parking for everyone - something that has been an issue for us in the past at other locations. The hot tub was clean, hot and really great place to relax. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, serving spoons, cups, pans, etc. The bad: the toaster (burnt toast), griddle (didn't work), no blender (boo), one burner didn't work on the stove. Lots and lots of old things in the fridge - nice but really who will use it? the upstairs furniture was fine. the fireplace was warm. lots of seating at the kitchen table + bar. The extra table was a little bit of a hazard because it was just glass on top of a stand...more than once we almost knocked over the whole thing (and our puzzle!). but it did allow for plenty of space to spread out. The rooms were all clean - beds were made, toilets and showers were clean. I know there were a few reviews about the cleanliness of this house, but it WAS clean...just unorganized. One of our guests reorganized the kitchen cabinets and it made a big difference in our experience. The mainfloor closet has lots of things in it...it wouldn't seem so messy if it was just reorganized a bit. there was a few maintenance things that could have also made a huge improvement on the house. (ie: A light fixture was down - if it was fixed it would just change the whole appeal.) the first floor bedroom was nice, and comfortable. the three bedrooms in the 3rd level had tons of beds!! great for our family with kids. beds were fairly comfortable...but the sheets were maybe not the right size on the bigger beds as they kept popping off (but in fairness, there were plenty of other sheets we could have used to change the bed). Oh yeah, tons of towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, were available in the house!!The bottom level layout was nice, the double bedroom was comfortable....but the two twin rooms were horrible-seriously unusable even by kids. it really impacted the number of people I would say this place can accommodate. A few cheap twin bedframes and reasonable mattresses would really make a BIG difference.
