Maria was super easy to work with, quick to respond, and made the whole rental process very smooth. The location was great, between major town areas, but right on the main road. The cottage was a bit off the road though, so it was definitely quiet enough. It was literally 10 steps to the sandy beach, too! I really appreciated only having to bring our own sheets and towels. The beach chairs, umbrellas, kitchen basics, paper needs, it was all there for us.
The bedroom was definitely snug. We all fit in there, but there wasn't much breathing room between all the beds (and the bottom bunk was super shallow). The futon couch wasn't the most comfortable to sit on, but we weren't watching tv that much anyway. I do wish the stove was larger too (and there was no pot bigger than a soup can, so our plan for making a spaghetti dinner required some creativity), but the fridge and washer/dryer were all new and very nice.
It's also worth warning that the lake floor off the beach was mostly covered with plants (grass? kelp?) and not the most pleasant to walk on, but nothing that our water shoes couldn't handle.
All together, I was very happy with our nearly last-minute, short-budgeted lakeside retreat.
