Glorious property on a hill above a quiet cove on Squam Lake

                5 of 5
We had a family reunion holiday at Autumn Acres for two weeks, in the main house and the nearby cottage. The house and cottage were immaculate, and we were assisted by a very nice housekeeper and outside handyman. The property is extremely well kept and equipped with everything needed to enjoy the lake, the house and all manner of vacation activities. The kitchen is fully equipped with high end appliances and and attractive cooking, dinner and serving materials. Rather than roughing it on the lakeside, we felt indulged in a beautiful property in a glorious setting. The property is accurately described on the website, was clean and very well maintained, and every issue, however, small, was quickly addressed by our host. The property is only a short distance from shops and entertainment but still very quiet and secluded from commercial development or other properties. We would definitely recommend this property and would readily return.

Wonderfully peaceful, a first rate rental

                5 of 5
My family and in-laws spent New Year's weekend at the Stoney Ridge Farm and I can't say enough good things about it. The property itself is huge and we took walk after walk in the surrounding woods, which had picturesque mountains in the background, clear paths, beautiful fields, and absolute privacy. With that said, I found the farmhouse to be the real star. A lovely redone kitchen (not huge but great with new appliances), a fantastic dining room with plenty of space, and two good sized living room/den type rooms. The wood stove and fireplaces kept everyone warm and cozy and we found a stock of firewood when we arrived. The bedrooms were delightful. Five in all, each had a slightly different style and were much larger than I expected (with only one being a bit more moderate in size). The bathrooms seemed recently redone and the fixtures were very high quality. All in all, the farmhouse and property was a wonderfully relaxing and quiet experience. I can't recommend this rental more and for those who need a special place for a getaway or event. I've traveled a bit and can confidently say you won't go wrong at the Stoney Ridge Farm. If you're looking for the feeling of getting away 'from it all' but with all the comforts you’d hope for, I strongly suggest you consider this rental.

A magical place -- I can't wait to come back again

I have to tell you I looked like a real hero to my wife and friends when I picked out this place and brought them here as a surprise. As soon as we pulled up to the place my wife had a huge smile on her face. The farm house is beautiful, there is an amazing view of the lake, and we had so much fun just walking around the area and checking really connecting with nature. Inside the house we felt warm and cozy, the bedrooms were very accommodating and with updated bathrooms we cleaned off nicely after swimming and playing around at the beach near by. At night we relaxed on the porch and listened to the sounds of nature, drank a little wine and really got away from the real world for a while ...
