Recent Heart of North Holland Reviews

Wonderfully peaceful setting right next to the canal and the dike with an amazing farmfield view.

5 of 5
Great value for the money. One bedroom apartment-size accommodation with all the facilities for a comfortable stay. Very clean. Great breakfast, although with little variation from day to day. The view of the fields with the hares and waterfowl like ducks and swans, plus the usual pastureland animals like cows and sheep make for a restful spectacle, especially at the end of a busy day sight-seeing in Amsterdam, which is only 3 bus stops and 12 minutes away. Crossing the highway to get to the farm lane that leads to the accommodation is a little hairy as there is no close-by pedestrian crossing and the traffic does not stop for people on foot. Broek in Waterland is a very quaint and interesting village and is well worth a visit. It has nice restaurants and at least one grocery store that can provide the essentials. Rutger is a very congenial host and is more than willing to help with information and other assistance. We stayed for 7 days and had a splendid time.
