Beautiful Location, Funky and Spacious Property

          4 of 5
Our family of four stayed here for 4 nights, June 30 - July 4, 2016. Idyllic location, the property was very spacious, clean, and well equipped. Loved the interior decoration of the property. The town of Weesp is beautiful and charming; the property is close by. We loved the proximity of the canal, horses, cows, goats, sheep, ponies, etc. Great for long walks, runs, or bike rides. Several restaurants and pubs in town. We used the park and ride to go into Amsterdam and it was quite easy to find and very good value. The owners were friendly and very helpful. There is a small patio which could be improved with a few planters/ and flowers to make it more cosy. Would recommend this property to friends and family.

Beautiful apartment in a great location.

          5 of 5
I stayed in Weesp for four days with my best friend and my youngest child after leaving Germany and on the way to Bruge. We found the apartment better than expected. The location was just perfect to visit everything you would love to experience in the Netherlands. We took advantage of the museum passes and went to several museums in Amsterdam: Van Gogh, Rijks, etc and the Amsterdam Castle in Muiden which my 5 year old loved. Paul and Melanie even offered us metro passes which proved invaluable as I would not even know how to buy them. You just have to put money on the card at the train station for the 6 euro round trip ride to Amsterdam. We took a day trip to Delft and toured the Royal Delft Factory which is impressive. Unfortunately the passes don't cover that and they charge 12 euros to tour the factory but it was worth it. I found the Netherlands extremely clean and the people very friendly. I enjoyed staying in the peaceful country setting in beautiful Weesp with the close proximity to bustling Amsterdam just 15 minutes away by train. I would definately recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to visit Amsterdam without the drama. Paul and Melanie were great. Thank you for your hospitality.

          Lovely Dutch home and location

          4 of 5
We stayed in the one bedroom loft and found it to be a very comfortable and well furnished loft. We stayed three nights and really appreciated all that Melanie and Paul did for us. The home is just outside a really nice dutch town of Weesp - it has everything that Amsterdam has only much smaller, quainter and quieter. We loved the town. We were shown how to get into Amsterdam by Paul - this was by using the metro and it took about 30 minutes - it is quick and efficient and drops you off right in the hub of Amsterdam. Our hosts were full of good information. The house is located on a canal and it is in a rural farmland area - it is quiet and very well located for touring in all directions. It is very well priced and it gives you a feeling of dutch life - rather than the tourist trap areas of greater amsterdam. If considering a holiday in this area I would never hesitate this facility and its very helpful and gracious hosts. Thank you to Paul and Melanie for all you did for us. Markus and Sandy
