                Spacious and Beautiful Home

                5 of 5
My sisters and I plan a 3 day weekend get away every year and this year we stayed at Lin's house in Interlochen. The house is beautifully decorated! It is cozy and warm and had that cheery cottage-like feel to it. It is extremely spacious! We loved it for so many reasons. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor so 3 of my sisters had their own rooms. The downstairs is like having another little apartment. There was another bedroom down there with a king bed where me and my other sister slept with more than enough room for us to spread out. Unfortunately it pretty much rained all weekend otherwise we would have totally utilized the back deck and the fire pit. There are 2 big bathrooms which was a huge plus with 5 woman having to get ready in the morning. Everything in the house was spotless and extremely clean. The pictures that Lin has posted on this site are exactly what you get with the exception that the house is bigger than what it looks like in the pictures. Being the girls that we are...we spent our days in Traverse City and Sutton's Bay shopping till we dropped. We wanted to go to Glen Arbor and Fishtown, but ran out of time. The first night we went to Hofbrau for dinner which was about 10 minutes from the house. Loved it there!! The food and drinks were great! Loved the atmosphere there and we had a fantastic waiter....his name was Ray! We were laughing and being goofy and he was playing right along with us We had a blast! We never made it to Bud's restaurant, but heard that they were really good too! Lin was a complete joy to work with! She made sure that if there were any problems or if we needed anything that we had her number and knew that we could get ahold of her. She made a point to call me to make sure that we got there and that everything was to our liking. I know now why her house was so cheery and uplifting, that is Lin! Extremely helpful, wants nothing more than for you to have a great time at her place, she is a joy to talk to! She was very helpful with any questions I had and when I asked her about things to do she was more than happy to give me suggestions and ideas. My sisters and I thank you so much Lin for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home, for being so generous and understanding of our arrival and departure and for being so wonderful with our stay there. We've been renting homes from Homeaway for several years now and this was definitely one of our BEST experiences! We would LOVE to come back and stay again!

If you truly want to relax...............

This gorgeous beach front home is about as accurate of a description that this spot deserves. From the long driveway through the woods, to the large spacious back deck. The spacious living room with the open kitchen and dining area, gave our family plenty of room to gather and relax. The incredible view of East bay right outside the large glass windows in the living room brings the sunset right into the home. Everynight the sunset promised to be better than the night before. It's is obvious that this is a home due to the amenities that the house has to offer. A well maintained grill, to a beautiful kitchen with a professional gas range and and high end appliances, made us feel at home. We got to break in a brand new dishwasher which we found was not kind to fragile wine glasses, sorry about that😢򘠽򘨢. We were visiting from Oregon attending a family wedding/reunion and were fortunate to find this home available for those dates. We had other, cheaper, options but chose this property because of its location on the bay. And now that our trip is over, I would have to say that the price this property is listed at is worth every single penny. I am not sure you could put a price tag on the memories that were made during our week here. If I had one complaint, it would be the lack of beach. But I was pleased to see the bay water level back up because it had been so low for so long. The dock and stairs made it extremely easy to get down to the water and the proximity of the home and back deck really made it feel like you were right on the beach. And the petosky hunting was EPIC. We found hundreds, but only took home a few 😜򗀠 And lastly, the drive in to Travers city is just minutes away. The little town of Elk Rapids is just as close. There is wonderful dining, and some good coffee shops and your close to everything you need to make your vacation amazing. Just make sure to get back to the back deck by sunset, or you will be losing value In your rental. There is a nightly show, you just have to be there. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with others. It's truly a relaxing and amazing home. Our families want to do this annually, and they want to do it here. Thank you for that. Dream Stay

                5 of 5
We just returned from our Bass Lake vacation at Trudy's house and it absolute perfection! The house was perfect for two small families with small children and our dog. The beach at her house had so much to do for all ages - a fire pit, swing, sandy beach for kids to play, 2 docks for fishing, and the unusual find of free kayaks and small pontoons to be used throughout the week. The property has ample space with a garage and guest house for people to spread out. It was clean, and Trudy was easy to work with. This home is a special place.
