            Perfect family lake house

            5 of 5
If you have kids, this lake house is perfect! Immediately upon opening the door our 4 and 8 year old daughters saw the toy/play area and were completely entertained as we unloaded our belongings into the home. From the outside it looks small, but inside it accommodated my family of 6 comfortably and can fit more. The lay out was great, kitchen had everything you could ever need, bedrooms were roomy. The kids had a great time in the paddle boat ( seats 4) , fishing in the row boat, jumping off the dock and swimming. We had a bonfire every night, roasted marshmallows, and chased fireflies. The whole experience was fantastic! Lots of fish, wildlife, butterflies, toads, frogs, turtles, bats, and birds. Downtown Brooklyn is only 8 minutes away, dining/grocery/and shopping was easy. You are far enough away to feel remote, but close enough to conveniences to not panic if you forgot something at the store. This was a great experience, family getaway, and my whole family enjoyed it. We will be staying here again. Thanks again, freshwater vr.

Fun Family Time At Duck Lake

            4 of 5
We enjoyed ourselves at this quaint Duck Lake cottage. The cottage was clean and well maintained. Five people were plenty here as it is small, but it met our needs. Wifi was missed, but it was nice at the same time not to have to be "connected" and relaxation and conversation took its place. As long as showers are spaced out, then every guest will have hot/warm water!! Marta was attentive to our questions, concerns, and requests which we greatly appreciated. The deck was great and was the draw for our family. We relaxed, ate meals, played games, laughed and made memories on that deck. The lake is shallow next to the dock which would be great for small children to play and have fun. If your family is looking for a relaxing quaint get away this cottage is for you!!
