My husband and I got married at the gorgeous Apple Blossom Resort a few months ago. Knowing that weddings are often a blur of craziness, we wanted to do something different by creating a whole weekend where friends and family could come from near and far and have the opportunity to relax, make new friends, and catch up with old friends. Our 'wedding party' was invited to stay with us all weekend and guests were invited for one of the evenings for a laid-back outdoor wedding. The house was perfect. The only technical issue we had was some flooding issues in the yard where our tent was supposed to go and had to make some last minute adjustments with respective vendors. But all worked out in the end. (I think the flooding was because there was brand new sod that hadn't 'taken' yet so the water was pooling and not draining.) All in all, everything was perfect.
Having the ability to split up our house guests between the three houses was super helpful. We made the adorable cabin into our Honeymoon Suite and it worked perfectly to give us some privacy and a place to escape from the wedding craziness if we needed. Jorge and his wife were super helpful and accomodating–especially since we were the first event to be held on the property. Everything was absolutely perfect and I cannot wait to go back for anniversaries to relive our wedding weekend.
