Great for a group

4 of 5
The property was in a small village right on the water - summer would be excellent there. The arrangement of the house and the woodstove made it perfect for our family get together, but there are a couple things that would have made it even better. The downstairs mattresses are pretty worn and uncomfortable, so keep that in mind if a comfy bed is a must for you. For under $100 the kitchen could be made much more user friendly with the addition of some mixing bowls, a hand mixer and dry measuring cups. I'd definitely consider another stay, especially in the summer. We will be looking for something else next Thanksgiving though.

An Affordable week of Adventure, Relaxation, and Beauty

5 of 5
We arrived late evening to find a well lit parking area and a cute rustic 1930's cabin with many functional updates. The cabin was spotless and clean, until we cluttered it with our baggage momentarily. We settled into comfortable beds and fell fast asleep in the toasty rooms, not bothering to pay much attention to the exterior with the exception of letting the dogs check out the woods across the drive. After a very peaceful rest we awoke to notice the sun glistening off the water and dancing into our windows. The realization that the beach was only steps away motivated us to get dressed and head out for a quick walk with our coffee in hand. First stop off the front deck was the beach to take in all the wildlife tending to the chores of the new day. Ahhh! The tranquility and quiet. The docks full of boats, some for rent, some for use, and the fishing... It doesn't get much better. Our week of adventure and exploration was packed full of memories and created vision for an annual family getaway for years to come.
