Excellent Property!

5 of 5
We rented this home as a Christmas gift for our adult children. We wanted to stay together for a ski weekend. All total, there were 11 of us. There was plenty of room for all of us without anyone feeling crowded. The basement space was cozy and allowed for some of the group to break off when they needed their space. The loft area was very cool, also. The layout of the first floor was very open and provided an excellent place to play games or just have conversations. The property was absolutely beautiful! I found it to be clean and it had all of the amenities that we needed to make for a relaxing stay. We skied at Boyne Mountain, which was about 40 minutes away. There were very few restaurant options this time of year, but we ordered pizza from a local place the first night and it was really good - the second night we ate at the Pelican's Roost restaurant right at the end of the driveway - food was a bit better than bar food. Back to the property - the views were spectacular, it sits atop a hill on the golf course and is very secluded. This was the first time I had used VBRO and I had a few problems, but the owners were timely and polite in their responses. Having only two full baths was a bit of a challenge, but it didn't detract from the overall stay. The only recommendation I would have is to bring your own towels/washcloths- there was only one towel left on each of the beds and the towels were fairly small. Not a big deal, but something to know (the owner solicited feedback and I shared this, they said they would correct it for future stays).

Warm And Relaxing

5 of 5
This Beautiful Log Cabin was the most beautiful home that we have stayed in. The Country Setting was just what we needed quiet and peaceful. No Car Noise, No Barking Dogs, No Neighbors, just a few Deer roaming the fields for us to enjoy watching. The location was perfect just a few miles from town and the local resorts for golfing and the autumn colors were beautiful, and great restaurants. We will recommend this cabin to all our friends and relatives if they are looking for a warm, inviting, clean cabin in Northern Michigan.
